Social Committee
The Social Committee is one of the important tools of social participation in the project “Green Spirit of Activity. Hajnówka – A New Era of Development”. It is a space for dialogue, exchange of experience and cooperation between representatives of the local community and experts. The Committee supports the implementation of the project by formulating opinions and recommendations concerning planned activities and their effects. Its task is to view the project from the perspective of residents, organisations and local communities, and to point out solutions that can increase the effectiveness of the actions undertaken. It does not replace the institutions responsible for implementing the project. Instead, it is an important partner in the process of its implementation – a place where the experience, knowledge and needs of the local community can meet the actions of local government.
Because “Green Spirit of Activity” is a project created for Hajnówka, but above all – together with its residents.
What does the Social Committee do?
- reviews and recommends ways of implementing the activities planned in the project,
- monitors the progress of the project, identifying good practices as well as areas requiring additional support,
- identifies potential risks and helps seek ways to reduce them,
- participates in participatory activities, sharing knowledge, experience and the perspective of the local community,
- supports information and promotion of the project,
- consults the principles for implementing individual activities, including the regulations of grant programmes, ensuring their transparency and effectiveness.
