Investment in the Competencies and Future of Young Residents of Hajnówka
,,Education for the Labor Market” is an initiative aimed at better preparing the city’s young residents to choose their educational path, enter the labor market, and actively participate in the development of the local community. It addresses one of Hajnówka’s key challenges – how to connect education with the real needs of the local labor market.
Primary Schools – Discover Professions, Choose Consciously
Primary school students will have the opportunity to become better acquainted with various professions and discover their own aptitudes. Schools will have dedicated spaces prepared and equipped for career education, and students will take part in practical activities, meetings with professionals from various fields, and visits to local companies.
The program will include, among others, artistic, culinary, ceramics, and tailoring classes, as well as sports and recreational activities and road safety education. An important element will also be the promotion of professions connected to Hajnówka’s local potential – including tourism, recreation, and local products.
Secondary Schools – Competencies and Practice
Secondary school students will gain access to more modern workshops and technologies, career counseling, mentoring, and workshops developing interpersonal skills and teamwork.
Meetings with employers, professional internships, and additional courses and training sessions are also planned. Young people will be able to develop entrepreneurial skills and co-create educational solutions during participatory events and a Hackathon – a marathon of educational innovation.
