Incubator of Social Initiatives – Together for an Active Hajnówka

6

We want Hajnówka to be a city where residents have room to act, and where good ideas can receive real support. The Incubator of Social Initiatives is an investment in people – their ideas, activity, talents, and willingness to build Hajnówka together.

Young People Have a Voice

An important element of the initiative will be the Youth City Council of Hajnówka. Over three years, it will receive substantive and organizational support. Young councilors will be able to take part in training sessions covering areas such as public speaking, law, the functioning of local government, and planning its development. This is an investment in young people who want to have an impact on their city and actively participate in its future.

Active Hajnówka – Together in the City Space

Open and inclusive recreational-social events in public spaces are also planned. Their aim will be to combine physical activity with resident integration, relationship-building, and spending time together.

Support for community leaders and NGOs.

The social incubator will support people who are already active in the community as well as those who wish to get involved in city life for the first time. Courses and training sessions have been planned  for current and future community leaders, along with grants for non-governmental organisations– both for developing their infrastructure and competences and for implementing specific social initiatives. This will enable local organisations to operate more effectively and carry out more projects that respond to residents’ needs.

Talents worth supporting

The measure also includes scholarships for talented pupils and their guardians in the fields of arts and sports. This is a way of recognising young residents, developing their passions and creating conditions for the further growth of their talents.

Local government closer to residents

The project also covers training for local government employees on cooperation with non-governmental organisations, activating residents, and building transparent and open principles of collaboration.
