Hajnówka County has officially become the national partner of the City of Hajnówka in the implementation of the project “Green Spirit of Activity. Hajnówka – A New Era of Development”.

The signing of the partnership agreement was preceded by a letter of intent dated 31 December 2024 concerning the joint implementation of the project applying for funding and cooperation in the preparation of project activities.

On 31 March 2026, Mayor of the City Ireneusz Roman Kiendyś, Starosta of Hajnówka Andrzej Skiepko and Deputy Starosta Justyna Jarmocik signed the national partnership agreement, which opens the way to the implementation of the project and the introduction of concrete actions for the benefit of residents.

The scope of the County’s involvement covers areas proper to county self-government, in particular:

• education adapted to the needs of the labour market at the secondary school level,
• support for people requiring assistance in everyday functioning and professional activity.

The project envisages the implementation of activities within the framework of comprehensive social and professional activation of people with disabilities, creating new opportunities for development and integration.

This is an important step towards a modern, accessible and active Hajnówka.
